Frequently asked questions

Ha Giang is known as the most beautiful road trip in Northern Vietnam, with stunning mountain passes like Ma Pi Leng, terraced rice fields, Tu San Canyon, and traditional villages of H’mong, Dao, and Lo Lo people. Our tour not only covers the famous check-in spots but also takes you off-the-beaten-path to experience real local life in the highlands.

Yes! The tour is flexible for all travelers. You can choose to self-drive, ride as a passenger (with our local Easy Rider), or travel by car for more comfort. The daily distance is manageable, and you’ll have full support from our experienced local guide.

You will travel about 70–130 km per day, depending on the itinerary. The route is beautiful with plenty of stops for photos, sightseeing, meals, and breaks — so it never feels rushed. We focus on a slow pace and meaningful experiences, not just "racing through" the loop.

If you enjoy freedom, mountain winds, and breathtaking passes: motorbike is the perfect choice. If you travel with family, seniors, or prefer more comfort: private car is better. We also offer flexible tour options combining motorbike, trekking, homestays, or soft car tours with plenty of time to experience.

Yes. You need a valid motorbike license (Vietnamese license for locals, or International Driving Permit for foreigners). If you're unsure about the roads or your riding skills, we highly recommend riding pillion with our Easy Rider for safety, fun, and a worry-free experience.

You’ll stay mostly in local homestays: clean, basic, with hot water, warm blankets, and private or shared bathrooms depending on the place. If requested, we can upgrade to private rooms or small resorts in Dong Van or Bao Lac. Staying with locals is one of the most authentic cultural highlights of the trip.

Meals are fresh, home-cooked local food (hill chicken, mountain vegetables, corn rice, stream fish...). We accommodate vegetarian, allergy, or special meal requests if informed in advance. Each meal is a chance to experience local flavors and connect with the people.

Most areas have 4G (Viettel network). However, in some remote villages (Du Gia, Lung Ho, Khuoi Ky...), signal may be weak or lost. But this disconnection is part of the charm — allowing you to truly slow down and enjoy nature.

March – April: Plum, peach, and pear blossoms. May – June: Water pouring season – mirror-like rice terraces. September – October: Golden harvest season. November – December: Buckwheat flowers, mustard flowers, cool romantic weather.
